Hi, I'm Mingze. I'm a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate of School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University, advised by Prof. David Crandall. I was a visiting student researcher in Prof. Dhruv Batra's lab at Georgia Tech in 2018. Before that, I received my Master's degree in Computer Science from Indiana University and my Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Jilin University.

My research interests are primarily in the area of Computer Vision and Deep Learning. In particular, I have been working on following applications:

  • Action and activity recognition

  • First-person (egocentric) vision

  • Image and video segmentation

  • Object tracking and (re-)identification

  • Embodied visual recognition

  • Research Intern, Microsoft Research, Redmond, WA (May 2019 - August 2019)

  • Visiting Student Researcher, Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA (August 2018 - December 2018)

  • Research Intern, Honda Research Institute, Mountain View, CA (March 2018 - August 2018)

  • AI Engineer Intern, Midea Emerging Technology Center, San Jose, CA (May 2017 - August 2017)

Conference Reviewer:
