Research

Hi, I'm Mingze. I'm a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate of School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University, advised by Prof. David Crandall. I was a visiting student researcher in Prof. Dhruv Batra's lab at Georgia Tech in 2018. Before that, I received my Master's degree in Computer Science from Indiana University and my Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Jilin University.

My research interests are primarily in the area of Computer Vision and Deep Learning. In particular, I have been working on following applications:

  • Action and activity recognition

  • First-person vision

  • Video object segmentation

  • Object tracking and (re-)identification
